Hon. Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor who is the Member of Parliament for the South Dayi constituency has made some revelations on the purchase of the Christmas trees and decorations by the Ghana Airports Company Limited.
The Ghana Airports Company Limited has been in the news after the company allegedly bought four (4) Christmas trees for an amount of GH¢84,000.
Speaking on the issue, Hon. Rockson-Nelson Etse Dafeamekpor indicated that the Ghana Airports Company Limited did not go by the procurement process and laws.
The lawmaker explained that the Ghana Airports Company Limited should have request for quotations from at least 3 different sources but the company considered only two.
In a tweet, Hon. Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor said “Paul Adom Otchere’s Xmas Tree purchase: Matters Arising: Sec 43(5) of Act 663 states that “The procurement entity shall request for quotations from as many suppliers or contractors as practical, but shall compare quotations from AT LEAST 3 different sources…” Paul considered 2.”
