The Central Tongu Member of Parliament Honourable Gabby Alexander Hottordze has lobbied for some latest hospital beds for Mafi-Kumase Health Centre in the Volta Region.
The hardworking and ready to serve Member of Parliament earlier made an official appeal to a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), known as Hot Vibe Family Entertainment stationed in Adenta for some hospital beds for the facility.
Through the hard work of Hon. Gabby Alexander Hottordze, a team from Hot Vibe Family Entertainment made delivery of the beds to the Hospital on Friday, 8th April, 2022.
Speaking to Coverghana.com.gh, Mr. Gabby Hottordze disclosed that, a total of five (5) new hospital beds and two (2) delivery beds were handed over to the management of the hospital through his efforts.
The MP further explained that, the main purpose for which he lobbied for the beds is to replace the dilapidated ones at the facility which is largely affecting healthcare delivery.
According to him, the new delivery beds will be used in the maternity ward, female and male wards respectively for smooth and effective hethcare delivery.
Taking delivery of the items at a short and colourful event, the MP for the area thanked the NGO which is owned by a couple for responding quickly to his request and prayed that opportunities should open for them to do more than it has done.
Hon. Gabby Hottordze used to opportunity to advise the Nurses at the Health Centre to take good care of the items so that the NGO will be impressed and still donate more to the facility in the very near future.
He assured health workers that, by the Grace of God, the facility will soon have a 3-bedroom bungalow for itself which will soon usher in a resident Medical Officer to bring back the past glory of the Mafi-Kumase Health Centre which is now loosing patients of late.
The Health workers expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the MP and the NGO for the donation and appealed for more.
Present were nurses and other Health workers of the facility, Assemblyman for Mafi-Kumase and some NDC branch Executives of the area.
