Hon. James Gunu, Hon. Lukutor, Hon. Hottordze, and Hon. Agbavitor, Dr Egbenya Donate GH¢10,000 to VORSAG-UCC

The Volta Region Students’ Association of Ghana, University of Cape Coast (VORSAG-UCC), has received a cash donation of GH¢10,000 from Hon. James Gunu, Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, Hon. Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, Hon. Mawutor Agbavitor and Dr Egbenya Lawer in support of the Association’s activities and development agenda.
The donation was presented during the VORSAG-UCC 30th Anniversary Grand Durbar held at the University of Cape Coast on Saturday, 6th June, 2026.
The presentation was done on behalf of the donors by the Volta Region NDC Vice Chairman, Hon. Egypt Kobla Kudoto, who formally handed over the cash donation to the Association, reaffirmed the commitment of Volta Region leaders to the welfare and development of students.
The contributors included Hon. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister – GHS3,000; Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, Member of Parliament for the South Tongu Constituency – GHS2,000; Hon. Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, Member of Parliament for the Central Tongu Constituency – GHS2,000; and Hon. Mawutor Agbavitor, the Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) – GHS2,000 and Dr. Egbenya Lawer, South Tongu NDC constituency secretary – GHS1,000 amounting to GHS10,000.

Their generous contribution formed part of efforts to support the successful organization of the anniversary celebration and to strengthen ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting student welfare and development within VORSAG-UCC.
The donation reflects the continued commitment of these leaders towards education, youth empowerment, and leadership development across the Volta Region.
The leadership of the Association expressed profound appreciation to the donors for their generosity and confidence in the Association. It was noted that the support would significantly contribute to the success of the Association’s programmes and strengthen its development agenda.
The gestures of the donors serve as a strong motivation for students and highlight the importance of sustained investment in youth leadership and education.
