Hon. Maxwell Lukutor fulfills promise to Dendo Sasekope Ward
The Member of Parliament for South Tongu, Hon. Maxwell Lukutor, has fulfilled his promise to reward the best performing ward in the 2024 General election. During his visit to Dendo Sasekope ward, he presented a cash prize of GH¢5,000 to the community.
The residents of Dendo/ Sasekope ward praised Hon. Lukutor for his efforts in pushing for portable drinking water for the community, even before he became an MP.
They also requested his assistance in building accommodation for nurses at the Sasekope CHPS pcompound, which was built by the late DD Sappor, a founding father of the NDC in South Tongu.
Additionally, the community asked for the MP’s help in installing a rural telephony mast to improve their telephone network. Hon. Lukutor promised to work on these requests, including providing sewing machines and hair dryers for youth apprenticeship programs and improving the telephone network for better communication and online studies and an AI Engineering Training School in the Constituency.
The MP also highlighted the constituency’s impressive performance in the 2024 general election, with President John Dramani Mahama receiving 93.33% of the votes the highest in the country and he securing the single highest percentage as a new MP.
He expressed his gratitude to the community for their support and promised to work hard to deliver the best for the constituency.
Hon. Lukutor also mentioned that the government is working with the Sahel bank to establish the Women Development bank promised by the NDC, which will benefit South Tongu.
Furthermore, he is working to establish a digital center in Sogakope to support the youth in IT solutions development.
