The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has highlighted his top picks from the NDC’s 2024 Manifesto.

On August 24, 2024, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) launched its 2024 manifesto under the theme “Change to Reset Ghana” at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium, University of Education, Winneba, in the Central Region of Ghana.

Following the launch, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa outlined the key policies he believes are most significant from the NDC 2024 Manifesto.

Below are the policies highlighted by the Member of Parliament.

1. Constitutional Reforms;

2. Operation-Recover-All-Loot — Pursuing uncompromising accountability by launching inquiries and forensic audits into all scandals;

3. Probing VRA’s spillage from the Akosombo and Kpong dams, housing the displaced still living in tents and compensating all victims;

4. Establishing a National Assets Register;

5. Banning all politicians and politically exposed persons from buying state assets to end State Capture;

6. Initiating a law on scholarships to sanitize and consolidate the administration of scholarships and to effectively tackle corruption, nepotism and cronyism;

7. No-Fees-Stress;

8. Free Tertiary Education for Persons With Disabilities;

9. 24-Hour-Economy for massive job creation;

10. Abolishing burdensome taxes such as E-Levy, Sanitation, Betting and COVID-19 levy.

11. Women’s Development Bank;

12. Artificial Intelligence Labs for Secondary Schools;

13. Furniture-For-All to rapidly address the deplorable lack of furniture for 1.3million basic school pupils;

14. 20% additional salary for all teachers and health workers who accept postings to rural communities;

15. Abolish ex-gratia.
