Hon. Woyome pays Affiliation fee for juvenile clubs of STDFA and supply trophy to VRFA Women’s Champions

South Tongu Member of Parliament (MP) and Ranking member of the Sports, Culture and Chieftaincy Committee of Parliament Honorable Wisdom Mensah Kobena Woyome has paid the Affiliation fee for juvenile clubs of STDFA and supplies trophies to VRFA Women’s Champions.

The lawmaker on Sunday 12th May, 2024 graced the closing ceremony of the Volta Region Division one women middle league and the FA Cup match between Borfoakwa and Dreams FC at WAFA.

Hon. Woyome has been consistent in supporting football development in the Region and his District through payment of Officiating fees, provision of sporting equipments.

At the recent league, he assisted both the FA and the Clubs with funds and presented a giant trophy to the RFA to be presented to the winner of the Women middle league.

The other time, Hon. Woyome provided streetlights to the RFA for fixing in the Ho Sports stadium. Through his instrumentality, the WAFA facility came into existence once again and assured the organisers of his readiness to offer his support for Sports development in all levels.

He advised the players to eschew discipline and desist from acts that could endanger their carrier.

The lawmaker further urged those who turn 18 to also get themselves registered in the voter registration exercise ongoing at the EC so as to be part of the decision making that could influence their carrier positively.
