Electoral Commission announces Voter ID Card Replacement Guidelines
The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has announced the date slated for the replacement of Voter ID Cards ahead of the 2024 General Elections and urged all affected voters to comply with.
The Commission in their official announcement stated that the replacement of Voters ID Card will start on Thursday 30th May 2024 to Friday 14th June 2024.
EC urged all Voters who wish to replace their missing Voter ID Cards to make payment for the replacement using the following short code *222*1067#.
Cost of Voter ID Card Replacement
The cost for replacement is Ten Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 10.00) only.
After payment, you will receive an SMS bearing a reference code. Applicants are to provide the reference code to the District Officer to facilitate the replacement of their cards.

Payment Guidelines: How to Pay For Replacement of Voter ID Card
To replace missing Voter ID Cards, you have to make payment for the replacement exercise using the following short code *222*1067#.
Payment Guidelines/Procedures for Voter ID Card Replacement
TO PAY FOR REPLACEMENT OF VOTERS ID CARD
Step 1: Kindly dial the short code *222*1067# and proceed with the steps below
Step 2: Enter amount required
Step 3: Enter reference (full name of the voter)
Step 4: Transaction Summary is presented.
Step 5: Select 1 to confirm details.
Step 6: Wait for prompt to authorize transaction or check under My Approvals on *170#“.
Step 7: Voter will receive an SMS upon the successful completion of the transaction with the payment reference to present to Electoral Commission for service delivery.
Important notice on Voter ID Card Replacement
Please note that the replacement of Voter ID Cards is only for persons who have lost their cards.
Applicants are to provide the reference code to the District Officer to facilitate the replacement of their cards.
