The Government of Hungary has announced special scholarships to Ghanaian students who are specialized in agriculture.
The Ambassador of Hungary, Mr. Tamás Endre Fehé says Hungary will increase its award scheme from fifty (50) scholarships to hundred (100) for Ghanaian students
The ambassador spoke about Hungary’s support by awarding scholarships to 50 Ghanaian students since 2017, adding that there Ghana’s education sector are plans to increase the number to 100. He emphasized that special scholarships will be awarded to students who specialize in agriculture.
The Ambassador of Hungary, Mr. Tamás Endre Fehér said this as he called on the 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament and MP for Bekwai Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu to discuss diplomatic ties between the two countries, spanning over 60 years.
The 1st Deputy Speaker expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for the visit and assured him of Ghana Parliament’s support and readiness to facilitate the visit of the 1st Deputy Speaker of Hungary.
The 1st Deputy Speaker drew attention to the vast lands in the northern parts of Ghana a d called on Hungary to channel some of its sponsorship activities to these areas.
The 1st Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament will visit Ghana from the 20th to the 26th of next month.
