I have only One Month Leave NOT 123 days – Daniel Domelevo writes to President

The Auditor General of the Republic of Ghana Mr. Daniel Dormelevo has officially responded to the President's directive directing him to proceed on his 123 day accumulated leave.

The Auditor General of the Republic of Ghana Mr. Daniel Domelevo has officially responded to the President’s directive directing him to proceed on his 123 day accumulated leave.

In Mr. Domelevo’s letter to the Secretary to the President Nana Asante Badietuo, Mr. Dormelevo indicated that, he has begun his one month leave for the year 2020 starting 1st July, 2020 not the 123 days accumulated leave as directed by the President of the Republic.

In his letter,  Mr. Domelevo argued that, his “knowledge of recent labour law and practice in the country is that no worker is deemed to have accumulated any leave on account of their having failed, ommited, neglected or even refuse to enjoy their right to annual leave, which the law guarantees for their benefit not the employer.”
