“Resignation is not part of the Covid-19 laws, Prosecute Carlos Ahenkorah” – Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia has reacted to the trending issue of how the deputy Minister for Trade and industry Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah went to a Polling station to monitor the ongoing voter’s registration excerise.

Earlier yesterday, there was a widely  acirculated picture of how the deputy Minister for Trade and industry Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah visited a poling station where Voter’s Registration excerise was taking place to monitor the process even though he has tested positive for Covid-19 which made him tender in his resignation letter as a minister.

Speaking in an  interview with citinews, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia stated that, the former deputy minister Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah must be prosecuted for breaching the Covid-19 safety protocols as it is done to other citizens when they breach the law. He argued that, Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah’s resignition is not enough and that he must be prosecuted according to the law.
