NUTSA Honours the President of PIWAK Group of Companies, Dr. Prince Nelson Mortoti
The National Union of Tongu Students and Associates (NUTSA) has honoured Dr. Prince Nelson Mortoti, President of the PIWAK Group of Companies, with a Citation of Honour in recognition of his dedication to youth development, his commitment to service, and his compassion for humanity.
The citation was presented by the Daniel Eblugbor and Francis Eveh-led administration of the Union’s 18th National Delegates Congress held at the Sogakope Senior High School.
A Pillar of Mentorship for the Youth
The Union commended Dr. Mortoti as a pillar of hope and mentorship who has consistently inspired young people to dream bigger and strive for excellence. It noted that his passion for the youth, particularly in the Tongu area, has transformed lives and created pathways of opportunity for many.
Standing with Flood Victims
The citation also recalled the devastation caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage, which displaced families and destroyed livelihoods across the Tongu Districts. In response, Dr. Mortoti directed his cash prize donation toward supporting severely affected flood victims, bringing relief, comfort and hope to them in their most difficult moments. NUTSA described the gesture as an extraordinary demonstration of selflessness, empathy and servant leadership. “You did not merely sympathize; you acted, sacrificed, and lifted others,” the citation read in part, describing his conduct as “a shining model of community-first leadership.”
Recognition of a Generous Heart
The Union further expressed deep appreciation for his generosity, outstanding philanthropy, and contributions to human dignity and community development, describing his acts of kindness in times of crisis as a testament to his noble character. The citation ended with prayers that his “well of benevolence never dry” and that God would richly bless him in all his endeavours, closing with the traditional commendation, “Ayekoo!”
