Mr. Franklin Cudjoe, the Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, a think tank of global repute dedicated to the promotion of the institutions of a free society across Africa says, he only hears stories under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in fighting corruption.
He believes that, the real test for fighting political corruption is by prosecuting your own in government, especially political appointees and party members who might have engaged themselves in corruption and corruption related scandals.
According to IMANI boss, he recalled former President John Agyekum Kufuor started fighting corruption during his regime by dealing with with Mallam Issa, even though Mallam Issah was a member of CPP.
He explained that, the former President John Dramani Mahama also started fighting corruption with Abuga Pele and co, this he said is a sign of good fate and keeping trust in the citizenry.
Surprising, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe said, he only hear stories under the current setting President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
Prior to the 2016 General Elections, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a flagbearer critized John Dramani Mahama’s government as incompetent and corrupt and promised to fight corruption when voted into power.
His promise has restored hope in majority of Ghanaians hence voted massively against John Dramani Mahama in the 2016 Presidential elections.

Barely six (6) years after voting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo into office, it appears to many Ghanaians including Mr. Franklin Cudjoe that, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has failed his promise to fight corruption.
Most Ghanaians lost hope and trust in President Nana Addo’s government immediately he fails to prosecute the PPA boss over procurement scandals, PDS scandals after procuring fraudulent insurance guarantee among many.
Meanwhile, some people concluded that, desception has crowded President Akufo Addo’s imagination and thinks he is smart. Total failure that will forever remain in New Patriotic Party (NPP) history.
Some described him as the chief clearing agent and has no plan to fight corruption.
