Ibrahim Mahama donates to 20,000 homes in the Keta and Tongu Constituencies

The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners and Dzata Cement, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has donated relief items to the victims of the Dam spillage.

He made the donations on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, with a team that comprised his wife, brother and other personalities.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team were welcomed with a durbar by the Chiefs, Queen mothers, The DCE, The MPs, representatives of NDC and NPP, and the good people of the affected communities.

The durbar was held at GP JHS park at Mepe. Mr. Ibrahim Mahama’s donation is the biggest support yet from an individual or any institution to the displaced people some of whom are having to lodge in schools, tents, churches, and mosques because their homes were massively flooded following the Akosombo Dam spillage.

The Business Magnate led his team to donate relief items for the affected communities. The items included 20,000 bags of 5kg rice, 24,000 cans of Mackerel, 12,000 bottles of cooking oil, 400 packs of water, and 1,000 pieces of student mattresses.

Receiving the items on behalf of the community, the DCE for North Tongu, Hon. Divine Osborn K. Fenu thanked Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team for the massive donation. He said this donation has put more smiles on the people living in the affected communities.

Hon. Ablakwa on behalf of the MPs in the affected communities thanked Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his team for their support for the affected communities.

Hon. Ablakwa assured the Business Mogul that, there will be equity in the distribution of the items to all the affected communities. The Paramount Chief of Bator, Torgbega Patamia Dzekley VII expressed gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for coming to their aid at this crucial time.
