The President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo says acting IGP George Akuffo-Dampare has vindicated him.
According to the President, the acting Inspector General of Police through his performance and transformation of the Ghana Police has vindicated h for appointing him to head the country’s law enforcement agency.
The President explained that he and his Government are in support of the recent actions taken by acting IGP George Akuffo-Dampare which has elicited strong backing from the citizens of Ghana.
President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo also further added that he will soon make Mr. George Akuffo-Dampare a substantive Inspector General of Police if all the necessary processes are completed.
“He has so far vindicated my decision to put my trust in him to hold this High office. I am confident that once the necessary processes are completed which I am sure will be soon, he will become our nations 23rd Inspector General of Police.” President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo said whiles addressing a parrade of Police officers.
