Former Chairman of PNC, Bernard Anbataayela Mornah said resources meant for education have not been distributed equitably, therefore everyone is lobbying for a Grade A school.

Speaking on the Tv3 Newday show, Mr. Bernard Mornah detailed all factors that lead to lobbying for SHS placement.

In his submission, he made mention of Senior High Schools which offers a Science programme but they do not have Science Laboratory to aid what students have learned.

Teachers to handle Science subjects are insufficient therefore carving a student to a certain perfection becomes a challenge.

Further, Mr. Mornah explained that the absence of proper distribution and quality distribution of the resources meant for education is also one of the reasons why parents will struggle knowing very well that in Ghana’s education system, you are going to a particular school in order to be able to progress.

He calls on the Ministry of Education to ensure that they distribute or deploy high-class teachers to the “low grade” schools. Also, they must ensure that all the needed resources are sent there on an equal basis in order to give all the grade class schools the maximum support the gear towards the urban /or Grade A schools.
