Early in his twenties, Carmichael started doing stand-up comedy and rapidly became well-known for his distinctive approach and stances on social issues.
When he played the lead in the NBC comedy “Undateable” in 2013, it was his first significant television role. Additionally, he made appearances in a number of movies, such as “The Last OG,” “The Beach Bum,” and “Transformers: The Last Knight” (2018-2021). The Carmichael Show, a semi-autobiographical sitcom that Jerrod Carmichael developed and starred in, aired on NBC from 2015 to 2017. He continues to perform stand-ups and create new projects.
