John Ntim Fordjour, Deputy Minister for Education, believes that former President John Dramani Mahama poses a significant threat to Ghana’s progress.

According to Fordjour, Mahama’s decisions and intentions, especially in light of his candidacy in the upcoming 2024 Presidential elections, could undermine the gains achieved under the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

Fordjour, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stated that Mahama has a tendency to cancel policies, citing examples such as the cancellation of allowances for nursing and teacher trainees.

He also expressed concern that Mahama may threaten to cancel the teacher licensure policy, which Fordjour views as a “game-changer.”

In Fordjour’s opinion, “Mahama is by far the biggest threat to Ghana’s progress”
