John-Peter Amewu Biography
John-Peter Amewu is a political figure in Ghana and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). In 2017, he became the Minister of Energy and former Minister for Lands And Natural Resources in Ghana.
In 2021, he was appointed by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as the Minister for Railways Development in Ghana.
John-Peter Amewu is also the Member of Parliament for the Hohoe Constituency in the Volta region and made history as the first person to win that seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

John- Peter Amewu served as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Hohoe from 2005 to 2009. He then contested the Hohoe parliamentary and lost in 2004 and 2008.
In 2017, he was appointed as the Minister for Lands and resources. He subsequently won the parliamentary seat for Hohoe in the 2020 general elections.
He was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2021 to serve as Minister for Railway Development. In Parliament, John- Peter Amewu serves on Public Accounts Committee.

In 2001, he obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in (FINANCE) from the University of Ghana, Â Legon.
