The Energy Minister Hon. John-Peter Amewu cum New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for the Hohoe Constituency has sponsored NTVI training for drivers in the Hohoe township in the Volta Region of Ghana.
With less than four (4) months to the December 2020 polls, John-Peter Amewu is continuing his agenda to positively impact individual lives and uplift livelihoods across Hohoe enclave.
The Hohoe drivers union made a request to the NPP Parliamentary Candidate John-Peter Amewu to assist their union members acquire NVTI driver’s training and certification. John-peter Amewu upon receiving the request has swiftly responded where a five day NTVI training has commenced for fifty (50) drivers within the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region on 31st August 2020.
The NVTI instructors from their training and development department are taking the 50 drivers through the defensive driving course.
Components of the course outline are responsibilities of professional drivers, vehicle components and their functions, road traffic act and regulations, stress management, fire prevention among others.
Ensuring the safety of passengers, drivers and vehicles on Hohoe roads is of utmost importance to Hon. john-peter Amewu and this training would go a long way to instill roads safety principles in various drivers from the constituency.
According to the participants, acquisition of these NVTI certification would enable them acquire gainful employment as drivers within the public and private sectors of the Ghanaian economy thus Hohoe constituency.
The participating drivers were happy for day one training and said, “Poco a poco, Amewu’s developmental agenda is touching all manner of people and God willing Hon. John-peter Amewu would do more when the good people of Hohoe gives him the mandate to represent them at parliament come 7th December.”
