The incumbent General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has been elected as the Party’s National Chairman at the 2022 National Delegates Conference held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, 17th December, 2022.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah won against the incumbent National Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo and two others at the 10th National Conference of the Party in Accra.

According to the final collation sheet, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah won with a total of 5,569 votes representing 65.17% against Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo who had 2,892 votes representing 33.81%.

Samuel Yaw Adusei had total votes of 52 representing 0.61% while Nii Armah Ashitey had 38 votes representing 0.44%.
