JUST IN: GFA sacks Chris Hughton and Black Stars technical crew after early exit at AFCON2023

Chris Hughton has been sacked as the head coach of the Senior National team, Black Stars of Ghana.

The Ghana Football Association wishes to announce that Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties as the head coach of the senior National team with immediate effect.

The Executive Council has also decided to dissolve the technical team of the Black Stars.

The statement reads “The Executive Council has also taken the decision to dissolve the technical team of the Black Stars.”

After the abysmal performance of the Black Stars due to sil!y mistakes and personal interest at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Association has noted the challenges and acted upon them.

Even though Ghana Black Stars has the top-notch players for the competition, some of them made sil!y mistakes which led to their early exit (group stage) from the tournament.

Ghanaians how that the Association after sacking the Head coach, Chris Hughton, and dissolving the technical team of the Black Stars will bring other competent and more committed persons for the vacant positions.
