Management and staff of Ketu North Municipal hospital has launched their first medical outreach at Adzoatsi as part of activities markingĀ the hospital’s first year anniversary.
The hospital launched the medical outreach at Adzoatsi, a community under Ketu North Municipal Assembly on 16th March, 2023
The services provided to the good people of Adzoatsi include; General OPD services, laboratory services, consultation and drug dispensary.
About 200 members of the community participated in the medical outreach programme.
According to the medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Sefakor Kpormegbe, the main purpose of the outreach is to help screen for communicable and non communicable diseases and also to better serve the catchment area.
She used the opportunity to advice the community folks to report early to the hospital for treatment and to stop self medication and bad health practices.
In an interview with Dr. Collins Eli Asilevi, he thanked the community folks for coming out in their numbers to participate in the programme. He also thanked the chief and Assembly member of Adzoatsi for their role in organizing the maiden medical outreach of the Municipal Hospital.
Dr. Asilevi used the opportunity to call on donors, Pharmaceutical companies, medical supply companies and philanthropist to help sustained the medical outreach since a lot more communities will be visited in the coming months where diagnosis and treatment will be done for free.
The hospital started operation on 8th March, 2022. Ketu North is one of the new Municipal hospitals in Ghana.
It was commissioned to help increase access to health care needs of Ghanaians.
The hospital is in full operation with ultramodern medical equipments.
It is the vision of the hospital to work together with stakeholder’s to better serve the health needs of the people in the region and nearby countries.
