Undergraduate top-up Engineering and Agriculture Programmes 2023

Undergraduate Top-Up Engineering and Agriculture programmes for May 2023 Admissions are now open for application through the Distance Learning Mode at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. The following programmes are on offer:

  1. BSc. Agricultural Engineering
  2. BSc. Civil Engineering
  3. BSc. Computer Engineering
  4. BSc. Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  5. BSc. Geomatic Engineering
  6. BSc. Mechanical Engineering
  7. BSc. Telecommunication Engineering
  8. BSc. Petroleum Engineering (online only)
  9. BSc. Chemical Engineering (online only)
  10. BSc Agriculture

Entry Requirements:

  1. BSc. Agricultural Engineering – HND in Agricultural Engineering or its equivalent Diploma certificate from an accredited institution.
  2. BSc. Civil Engineering – HND in Civil Engineering from a recognised Technical University or equivalent Diploma from a recognised institution.
  3. BSc. Computer Engineering – HND in Computer Engineering/Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or an equivalent Diploma certificate.
  4. BSc. Geomatic Engineering – HND in Surveying or Diploma in Geodetic/Geomatic Engineering or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
  5. BSc. Electrical and Electronic Engineering – HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering/Computer Engineering/Telecommunication Engineering or an equivalent Diploma certificate.
  6. BSc. Mechanical Engineering – HND or its equivalent Diploma Certificate from an accredited institution in any of the following Mechanical Engineering disciplines: Production Engineering, Plant Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning, Foundry Technology.
  7. BSc. Telecommunication Engineering – HND in Telecommunication Engineering, HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering/Computer Engineering/ or an equivalent Diploma Certificate.
  8. BSc. Petroleum Engineering (online only) – HND in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering, First Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  9. BSc. Chemical Engineering (online only) – HND or its equivalent in Chemical Engineering.
  10. BSc Agriculture – Certificate or its equivalent in Agriculture. Mature applicants – 25 years of age with a Certificate in Agriculture. Applicants with Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or HND in Agriculture ARE NOT to buy this form (their forms will be sold later).

Cost of Application E-Voucher:

The cost of an E-voucher is GH¢240.00 for Ghanaian Applicants and US$150.00 for Foreign Applicants.

How to Apply:

  1. Undergraduate Engineering Top-Up applicants should purchase an online application e-voucher from GCB Bank, ECOBANK, or Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) and then APPLY ONLINE via https://admissions.knust.edu.gh or dial on all networks short code 447160# and follow the prompts.
  2. Applicants should carefully follow the instructions on the e-voucher.
  3. Programmes will be mounted at selected Centres below, depending on the number of qualified applicants at the Centre: a.   1. Applicants are advised to regularly check the KNUST website and their email for updates and announcements concerning the admission process.
  2. The deadline for submission of completed application forms is Friday, 5th May 2023. Any application submitted after this date will not be considered.
  3. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted through email and SMS for further instructions on the selection process.
  4. Successful applicants will be required to pay the relevant fees before they can be registered as students of KNUST.
