Komfo Anokye hospital blocks IT system to disallow social media access at work.
The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital has blocks staff of the hospital from accessing social media using the hospital’s Information Technology system.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, they have put in place measures that have enabled them to block staff of the institution from accessing social media during work hours.
Professor Otchere Addai-Mensah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital, says the lives of patients who visit the facility is paramount.
The CEO said they have blocked the hospital’s “[IT] system to YouTube & other social media platforms to prevent staff from possible loss of concentration on patient care through the use of such platforms.”
