Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has called on the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi-Boasiako to apologize to Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
Mr. Kweku Baako who was speaking on Joy News File hosted by Samson Anyenini said, Wontumi’s comments and attacks on John Dramani Mahama’s running mate are unacceptable, unfortunate and must be condemned.
He also added that, the Leadership of the New Patriotic Party should immediately dissociate itself from Wontumi’s comments by issuing a statement to condemn his action. Kweku Baako Angrily said, Chairman Wontumi would have been reprimanded if he has the opportunity.
When asked to speak to the comments of the Majority Leader Osie Kyei Mensah Bonsu and Buabeng Yaw Asamoah the Director of Communications towards Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s nomination as running mate, Kweku Baako said, he as an individual have nothing wrong with what they said.
According to him, their comments did not attack Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang but were rather related to her track records as a former Education Minister among others. He argued that, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang couldn’t deliver on the National Democratic Congress’s projects when she was Sector Minister.
Mr. Abdul Malik Kweku Baako who was debating on political issues with Joyce Bawah Mogtari noted that, the NDC is turning logic and science on the head of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang by saying it was not her decision to cancelled the Teacher and nurses trainees allowances but rather a decision of Cabinet.
Bernard Antwi-Boasiako reportedly attacked and criticised professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for being the brain behind the cancellation of the free maternal health policy and the teacher trainees and nurses trainees allowances. According to reports, he also attacked her candidature and mocked her feminist as a running mate.
