The National Teaching Council (NTC) has clarified the group of trained teachers who will sit for the September NTC Licensure exams.
The Council stated emphatically in their update that the next Licensure Exam to sit for in September 2023 is exclusively for only Degree and Post Diploma graduates. For the affordance of doubt, no Diploma graduate is permitted to register and sit for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination.
The over 6,000 re-sitters who have failed again will be allowed to face their last fate in November 2023 but as it stands now, the exact date for registration is not out.

The Council will make an official publication to that effect if the time is approaching.
Earlier in the news, NTC said over 6,000 prospective teachers have failed for the ninth or tenth since they start writing the licensure exams.
The new decision per the NTC is that the said re-sitters have a last chance in November 2023 to redeem themselves. If they fail again, it means they have to further and obtain a Degree in order to qualify for the licensure exams because the new requirement for a Basic School teacher is to be a Degree holder.
