March 2023 CAGD Salary Validation: Promotion, Upgrading, Arrears and Allowance Payment

The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has officially activated the March 2023 salary validation portal.

The portal has been activated for Staff of various institutions and management units for validation.

Promotion of GES Staff

The long-awaited wish of Teachers have been granted. GES has promoted Teachers specifically those at the lower ranks to a higher rank in the Service.

In addition, GES non-teaching employees have also been pushed.

GES Upgrading

Some employees in the Service having /or have acquired additional certificates (Bachelor’s Degrees) and gone through the application procedure for an upgrade have also been granted their wish.

The said upgrade concerns only the eligible Teachers who held the positions of Senior Superintendent II and I and whose main professional qualification was a Basic Education Diploma.

However, many employees who submitted their information for the upgrade to the position of Principal Superintendent (PS) in March 2023 have had their requests granted.

Arrears for GES Staffs members

The majority of GES Staff members that got an upgrade in January 2023 and the subsequent months were expecting some arrears that should be paid to them by the government unfortunately, the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) did not update them adequately on their wish.

Later in a statement by CAGD, they started crystal clear that arrears will be paid in February 2023 to them but only a few of them will receive it.

In line with the above, all persons who will/have been affected should kindly expect some payment of arrears this month, March.

GES Allowance Payment

The Responsibility Allowances due Teachers have been activated for March 2023.

The said Responsibility Allowances are paid to Teachers who have been assigned extra duties /or responsibilities in the Service. Any Teacher assigned extra duty is paid accordingly for the work done.
