Former Deputy minister of Communications, Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye says Mr. Martin Amidu was not appointed as special prosecutor to get any real anti-corruption fight going.

Mr. Martin Amidu who was appointed three (3) years ago as Special Prosecutor by President Nana Akufo Addo tendered in his resignation letter yesterday, 17th November, 2020.

Reacting to Mr. Martin Amidu’s resignation, Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye indicated that Mr. Martin Amidu’s appointment as Special Prosecutor was never intended to get any real anti-corruption fight going.

Mr. Kwakye further added that, President Nana Akufo Addo only appointed Mr. Amidu to spite the NDC and mislead unsuspecting sections of the public into believing that Akufo-Addo meant anything he said about corruption in opposition.

Below is what Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye wrote on facebook following the resignation of Mr. Martin Amidu

“I had never believed Martin Amidu would get anything done. His appointment was never intended to get any real anti-corruption fight going.

It was done only to spite the NDC and mislead unsuspecting sections of the public into believing that Akufo-Addo meant anything he said about corruption in opposition.

What we have now is by far the most corrupt government in our history. One that is founded on the very worst forms of nepotism and cronyism.

The only cure for their brand of corruption is electoral defeat.Let us take the chance offered us in December and boot them out so we do not express regret when in their second term,corruption reaches dizzying heights.”
