Masour Osumane Dembélé was born on 15th May, 1997 in Vernon in France. Dembélé is a professional footballer who plays forward for the French national team and Spanish club FC Barcelona.

His mother is French of Mauritianian and Senegalese descent, while his father is from Mauritania. He started his footballing steps at age 12.

Dembélé began his career at Rennes before joining Dortmund in 2016. He won the DFB-Pokal with die Borussen in the 2016-17 season, scoring a goal in the final. A year later, he transferred to Barcelona for a fee of €105 million, becoming at the time the joint-second most expensive footballer ever alongside his compatriot Paul Pogba. Dembélé subsequently won the double of La liga and Copa deal Rey in an injury first season in Spain.

After wining 20 caps and scoring five goals at youth level, Dembélé made his senior international debut for France in 2016.
He was also part of the French national team that won the 2018 FIFA world Cup, held in Russia.

Dembélé is a winger that can play on either wing sides because of his ability to use both feet and technical ability and agility to beat defenders on a one-on-one situations. Dembélé can also operate as a left or right attacking midfielder in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 formations.

Some of the fans do compare him with Ronaldinho for his show-boating and trickery, sudden change of pace and feints.
Dembélé earned a high praise from Barcelona legend Andrés Iniesta for his game changing qualities.
