Medikal sends a strong message to Nana Addo’s Government

Ghanaian hip hop musician Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal has sent a message to the Government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to “La Hustle” hitmaker, the Government of Ghana must endeavour to include entertainers such as Musicians, Comedians, Actors/Actresses among others in the country’s budget every year.

In a tweet sighted by coverghana, Medikal said “The government should have a budget for Entertainers (Musicians, Comedians, Actors/Actresses) every year!”

As usual, some fans and followers of the musician have been reacting to the tweet by Medikal.

Chuks in a comment said “Entertainment is a personal business/profession for individuals while national sports is for the country.”

Derek also added that “To produce a record or album of international réputé, you don’t need anything less than a $200k(including abt 3 videos) then b/n an additional $50k-500k for distribution international promo, & activations. Surely an independent act in Ghana can’t fund this huge budget can they?”

“This has always been my fight, aside the health sector no other sector should have bigger budget than the entertainment and sports, this sectors can employ a lot of the youth” Nurudeen said in his comment.
