Mr. Emmanuel Gambil Ditamina is a teacher at Kongo Junior High School, Nabdam District in the Upper East Region. He is a trailblazer in STEM education.

Sir Emmanuel’s admiration for teachers and his opinion that knowledge is the best thing anyone can have inspired him to begin his journey as a STEM educator with a difference.

His teaching style is student-centred and practice-oriented. He’s known for his “Flipped Classroom” model and “Project-Based Learning,” where students tackle real-world problems, fostering creativity and critical thinking.

His innovative pedagogies have led to remarkable results, with classes witnessing a jump from an average score of 70% to 85% and high school enrolment rates increasing from 80% to 95%. His commitment to student success is further highlighted by his school’s increased graduation rates.

Beyond the classroom, Emmanuel’s dedication to the Nangodi community is palpable. He’s tackled issues like teenage pregnancies and school drop-outs, guiding students from near drop-out to noble employment.
