Ministry of Finance Grants Financial Clearance to recruit 2,500 Graduates

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is yet to grant financial clearance to recruit 2,500 graduates, cadres of health professionals.
The release stressed that the clearance has been extended as a result of the urgent need to address the growing demands in the healthcare sector. The decision to grant the extension of financial clearance by the government is to strengthen the healthcare sector and address the shortage of Health Professionals within the country and also, by ensuring the timely processing and placement of these professionals.
The approval for the extension of financial clearance was conveyed by making reference to the two (2) letter numbers: HRHD/TDu/11/01/001 dated January 11, 2024, and HRHD/TDu/17/01/001 dated January 17, 2024.
The said referenced letters were issued by the Ministry of Health where they outlined the pressing requirement to expedite the processing of new entrant forms for the remaining 2,500 cadres of Health Professionals.

Breakdown of the 2,500 graduates
The breakdown of the clearance yet to be processed is as follows: 2,000 diplomas and certificates, and 500 degrees.
The Ministry of Finance according to the letter has instructed the Chief Director to ensure the prompt processing of all necessary documents for these Health Professionals, as they are to be placed on the Mechanized Payroll system, enabling them to receive their salaries in a timely manner.
In addition, the MoF in the press release added that “The extension of the financial clearance is valid until June 28, 2024,
The Ministry of Health is urged to prioritize this task to prevent any delays that could hinder the efficient delivery of healthcare services.
The Ministry of Health is expected to take immediate action to fulfill the requirements outlined in the letters and complete the processing of the remaining cadres within the stipulated timeframe.
