MoH Donates PPEs to the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs
The Ministry of Health has made donations of Personal Protection Equipment to the Greater Accra Regional house of Chiefs today 22nd May,2020 to help in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in the country.
The items donated to the regional house of chiefs included 5,000 pieces of Facemask, 80 gallons of hand sanitizers, 50 boxes of Cocoa powder, 12,5000 tablets of Vitamin C, 480 rolls of Tissue paper, 6, pieces of Gun Thermometer, 100 gallons of liquid Soap and 5 Veronica bucket Setup.

The Deputy Minister for Health, Hon. Dr. Okoe-Boye presenting the items on behalf of the ministry indicated that the gesture is to support the traditional leadership in the Greater Accra to partner government in the fight against the COVID-19.
He said ” the partnership is key in the collective effort by the nation to win the fight since traditional rulers wield the authority to influence change even at the grassroots level since they are revered in our cultural setup.
He also used the opportunity to brief the regional house of Chiefs, Queen mothers and Elders on the current situation of the COVID-19 in Ghana and the Greater Accra Region in particular and all efforts government is putting in place to protect and preserve the lives of all Ghanaians.
Dr. Bernard Oko Boye called on the house to stand up to the occasion to partner government in the fight by influencing their subjects and all the people within their jurisdiction with goodwill and authority they wield
Receiving the items, the President of the Greater Accra Regional house of Chiefs  Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, appreciated the support and the donation from the government and the call to partnership that has been extended to them in the fight.
He added that, the items will go a long way to help the house and the various palaces to be observing all the safety practices and protocols Government has given to be observed.
