N/R: Former CPP Parliamentary Candidate for Mion Constituency crosses carpet to NPP 

The former Convention People’s Party (CPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Mion Constituency in the Northern Region of Ghana Mr. Kankamba Daniel Tamanja has crosses carpet to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Tamanja contested the 2012 parliamentary seat on the ticket of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) for the Mion Constituency and lost regrettably to the NDC Parliament Candidate.

The office of the Northern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman Samba who revealed the information said, as part of his strategies put in place to deliver more seats for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region, has saw the former Parliamentary Candidate of CPP joining the NPP.

He disclosed that, his office has negotiated with Mr. Kankamba Daniel Tamanja the 2012 Parliamentary Candidate for Mion Constituency and his entire community to cross carpet to the ruling NPP which they did successfully.

Mr. Tamanja hails from Sakpe in the Mion Constituency who recorded 913 votes in the 2012 general elections for the Convention People’s Party. He also won the Sakpe L/A primary polling station against the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidates. Mr Tamanja has since been made the polling station agent for the D/A Primary School Mabambori.

“Mr. Tamanja said my soft hearted approach and respect for mankind is an indication that my Chairmanship in the region will last beyond 4 years, He added that the choice of Mr. Aziz Ayaba is a catalyst for Mion development.” He disclosed.

Mr. Kankamba Daniel Tamanja called on all his followers in the constituency to join him usher Mr. Aziz Ayaba in Parliament come December 7th. “I am ever ready to help your course and that of Nana/Bawumia” He assured.

Chairman Samba promised of delivering fifteen (15) seats to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in this years election. He boldly said, Mion Constituency is one of the seats he will fight and take from the NDC, I reaffirmed.
