The National Association of Graduate Teachers, NAGRAT has given the Government of Ghana two weeks to restore the names of Teachers deleted from the payroll.
Speaking during a press conference, the President of the Association Mr. Angel Carbonou explained that the reasons given by for deleting the names of some teachers on the Government payroll is flimsy and cannot be accepted.
The President of NAGRAT further added that some names of teaches have been deleted from the government payroll for the past fifteen months which means that they have been working without receiving any pay.
The Association has therefore given the Government two weeks to restore the names of such teachers onto the payroll or the union will take action to solidarise with their members who have had their names deleted from the payroll and as a result are not being paid.
