NDC Volta Regional Youth Wing Supports Muslim Students
The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), under the auspices of the Volta Regional Youth Wing, led a donation exercise to the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) of the various tertiary institutions in the Volta Region.
This important exercise is a gesture of love towards our Muslim brothers and sisters in this period of Ramadan to aid their fast-breaking ceremonies in the evening. The items donated included bags of water, soft drinks, and fruits.
In an engagement with the Muslim students, the Volta Regional Youth Organizer, Comrade Mathias Alagbo, thanked the Muslim community in general for their immense support for the NDC since its creation. He traced the symbiotic relationship between the NDC and the Muslim communities back to the regime of J.J. Rawlings, when the NDC government made a policy to create special holidays for the various Islamic festivities.

Comrade Mathias Alagbo also recounted how the administration of H.E. John Evans Atta-Mills/John Mahama upgraded the Tamale airport into an international airport to facilitate the smooth voyage of Muslim pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, including the setting up of the Hajj Board and Hajj Village to aid the smooth transition of the pilgrims to Mecca to perform the all-important spiritual exercise.
The Regional Youth Organizer also stressed the fact that most investments, both capital and human development, in our Muslim communities were championed by the NDC and that they can look forward to receiving special support from the future NDC government of H.E. John Dramani Mahama.
Comrade Mathias Alagbo urged the Muslim students to offer prayers for our country and the NDC party and support the cause of H.E. John Mahama to rescue our beloved nation from the hands of tyranny come December 7, 2024.
