NIA releases date for replacement of lost Ghana cards
Professor Kenneth Agyemang Attafuah
The National Identification Authority (NIA) under the auspices of Professor Kenneth Agyemang Attafuah, Executive Director has released scheduled date for replacement of lost Ghana Cards.
According to the NIA, the replacement exercise will commence at all District Offices of the authority on August 8, 2022 nationwide.
The National Identification Authority is mandated to register all Ghanaians and provide them with a unique National Identification Number.
The Ghana Card has become a necessity, following the recent reluctant extension in the deadline for the SIM re-registration exercise.
The inability of the NIA to provide most Ghanaians with the Ghana Card has been one of the reasons for which the deadline has to be extended again.
However, update or corrections of names would solely be done at regional offices of the NIA.
