Noah Lyles Biography

Noah Lyles is an American professional track and field sprinter who is competing in the 100 meters and 200 meters.

He is a three-time World champion, having won the 200 m at the 2019 and 2022 World Championships as well as the 100 m event at the 2023 World Championships.

He won the bronze medal in the 200 m at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Lyles won gold and silver medals in the 4 x 100 m relay at the 2022 Championships, respectively.

He runs the 100 meters in 9.83 seconds and the 200 meters in 19.31 seconds, the latter of which is an American record and places him third on the all-time global list for that distance.

At the Youth Olympic Games in 2014, Lyles took home a gold medal in the 200-meter race. During the 2016 World U20 Championships, he won gold medals in the 100 m and the 4 x 100 m relay. Five times in the Diamond League, he has won, most recently in 2019 when he won the 100 and 200-meter double.
