North Tongu DCE tours some irresponsible sand-winning sites threatening lives and property

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the North Tongu District, Hon. Victoria Amefadzi Yawa Doe has visited some irresponsible sand-winning sites in Battor threatening lives and property.

The president’s representative at the District level (the DCE) whose duty it is to ensure the safety of citizens and businesses at all times abhorred the destructive nature of some of the sand-winning sites and called for more regulated winning practices.

In clear words and for the records, the DCE is not against sand-winning in its right format but irresponsible conduct that threatens lives and property is what she is against.

Hon. Victoria Yawa Doe was accompanied by the District Director and joint security officers from the Ghana Police and Fire Service units of the District

The team resolved to carry out such routine operations in all sand-winning communities within the District.
