North Tongu ranked 4th best performing District in quality healthcare delivery

The North Tongu District Assembly has been ranked the 4th best performing district in quality healthcare delivery among the 18 Districts in Volta, after the 2022 Health Sector Holistic Assessment.

The North Tongu District Assembly moved from the 17th position in last the ranking to the 4th position in the recent ranking.

What this means is that; access to quality healthcare in the North Tongu District has improved irrespective of Gender, Age, Geographical location, Financial strength etc.

According to the North Tongu District Health Directorate, Universal Health Coverage (UHC) within North Tongu District is possible.

The Directorate noted that, the credit for this achievement goes to key Stakeholders of North Tongu District Assembly, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the North Tongu District Assembly Hon. Osborne Divine K. Fenu, the MP Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, North Tongu District Health Management Team, Management of Battor Catholic Hospital & St Anne’s Hospital, Torgbe Galah, Nyatikpo-Battor and  the entire gallant frontline health staff.

The Directorate assured the general public that, North Tongu District Assembly shall continue to work with all key stakeholders to improve upon the health care delivery at the district and move the district to the first(1st) position.
