Okudzeto Ablakwa donates medical equipment worth $1.2 million to Mepe Health Centre to mark his birthday
The North Tongu constituency law maker, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated medical equipment worth $1.2 million to the newly constructed Mepe Health Centre to mark his birthday, August 11.
According to Hon. Okudzeto, he promised to donate the medical equipments to his people in order to help address medical concerns in the constituency.
“Today, I fulfilled my promise to the amazing people of Mepe by carrying out a birthday presentation of medical equipment worth US$1.2million to the newly constructed Mepe Health Centre.”
The equipments donated to the management of the Mepe Health Centre was packed in a 40-foot-shipping-container and moved to the health facility.
“The 40-foot-shipping-container of medical equipment and supplies include anaestisia machines, ECG/EKG, ultrasound, endoscopy tower, x-ray machine, infant incubators, infant warmers, autoclaves, defibrillators, lab freezer, CPAP, labour/delivery beds, OR light, suction machines, patient monitor, oxygen system, pulse oximeters, surgery tables, refrigerator for storing vaccines, wheelchairs, sphygmomanometer and many more.”
The law maker also appreciated the many hands that supported and partnered in order to purchase the medical equipments for his people.
“I am deeply grateful to my ever reliable and generous partners, SOS International headquartered in the USA for another successful collaboration.”
Further, he thanked Citi FM Foundation and the Ghana Chamber of Mines for sponsoring the physical construction of the health centre.
