Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has launched the first phase of Skills Programme in his beloved constituency on Wednesday, 3rd August 2022.
According to the Lawmaker, a total of 560 constituents from all 6 Traditional Areas in North Tongu are receiving specialized training in the weeks ahead from master craftsmen in ICT, fashion design and hair dressing.
Speaking at the short but colourful ceremony, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa said, the package for the Skills Programme includes startup funds to establish new businesses in North Tongu.
He again said, in addition to their startup capital, the ICT trainees shall all receive new laptops to boost their training and their work.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who is committed to uplifting the image of North Tongu is glad that, all community partners, especially Chiefs, the North Tongu DCE Hon. Osborn Kwadzo Divine Fenu and the Ghana Education Service (GES) are all on board for his Skills Programme.
The MP is also exceedingly grateful to GIZ and Africa Skills Hub for their impactful collaboration.
Ablakwa believes that, together we empower, and create more jobs.
