Over 15,000 girls in second cycle trained in cybersecurity and cyber hygiene – Ursula Owusu

The Ministry for Communications and Digitalization has proven to be moving with the current technological wave by training over 15,000 girls in Senior High Schools in cyber security and cyber hygiene.

The training program took place in 3 regions in the country, precisely Eastern, central and Ashanti regions.

The Minister for Communications and Digitalization, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has stated that the Ministry is not resting after this set and that, the training program will continue in August 2022 in some other regions in the country such as Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Northern and Savanna Regions.

In a press address, Hon Ursula Owusu-Ekuful reiterated “15,000 plus girls in second cycle Girls schools have also been trained in cybersecurity and cyber hygiene in selected schools in the Eastern, Central and Ashanti Regions. An equal number will be trained this August in the Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Northern and Savanna Regions.”

According to the minister, the ministry’s goal is to cover the entire nation with its cyber intelligence training and they are making progress.
