Paul Adom-Otchere declared enemy of Asogli State

Paul Adom-Otchere, the host of Good Evening Ghana (GEG) on Metro TV has been declared an enemy to the Asogli State.

The declaration was made known at a press conference by Chiefs and elders of Asogli State on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Paul Adom-Otchere, on June 7 and 9, 2022 indicated that, Togbe Afede XIV attended a total of 16% of meetings held by the Council of State between 2017 and 2021.

Togbe Afede XIV was chastised for returning an amount paid to him as ex-gratia for serving as a Council of State Member. According to him, he has benefited enough as a member of the Council and does not belief he deserved the said amount as ex-gratia.

According to the release, the Asogli State have tracked Paul’s attitude, believes and style and have identified him as a great termite working on the roots of Ghana.

Togbe Afede XIV, while filing his tax returns in December 2021 noticed certain deductions that were made, which looked strange and therefore started investigations.

He further got to find out that, an amount of GH¢365,392.67 was paid to him as ex-gratia from the consolidated fund.

After confirming from his bankers, Togbe Afede made a personal decision not to accept the payment and instructed for the refund of the money to the state, a transaction that was successfully done and Togbe duly notified.
