Journalist and political analyst, Paul Adom-Otchere has recently dragged media General journalist, Captain Smart and the Media General Company head to court for issues of defamation against his personality.
The Metro TV broadcaster and Host of the Good evening Ghana show, Mr Paul Adom-Otchere, herein referred to as the plaintiff has asked the court to charge and order the defendant, to pay a sum of GH¢10 million to compensate him for the damages his actions have had on his hard earned reputation.
According to the plaintiff, some false statements were made by the defendant on 26th August, 2022 during his show on Onua Maakye show in an attempt to defame his reputation by maliciously calling and tagging him as a corrupt journalist.
Again, Mr Adom-Otchere is asking the court to issue a restraining order against the defendants; Captain Smart,Onua Fm and Onua TV which will restrict them from using their platform in making such defamatory statements against him in the future.
