Photos: Akufo-Addo’s legal team celebrates for winning election petition case
The Legal Team of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has flaunted photos on social media to celebrate their victory in the December 2020 Election Petition case against John Dramani Mahama’s (Petitioner) Legal Team.
In a viral photos shared by the Information Minister-designate and the member of Nana Akufo-Addo’s legal team Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah saw them celebrating over the Supreme Court’s Judgement in their favour.

According to Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Legal Team lead Lawyer Akoto Ampaw won the case due to their hard work and dedication.
“We celebrate the hard work of the legal team of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the just ended 2020 Election Petition.” He explained.

BACKGROUND
Today, Thursday, 4th March, 2021, the Supreme Court in a judgement read by the Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah has dismissed John Dramani Mahama’s (Petitioner) election petition brought before it challenging the 2020 Presidential Election outcome.
According to the Supreme Court, “The petitioner did not demonstrate in any way how the errors [committed by the EC] affected the declaration of the election. We have therefore no reason to order a re-run [of the polls]. We accordingly dismiss the petition”
Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah while reading the ruling of the court on Thursday, March 4, 2021 on behalf of the seven panel Judges said, they unanimously dismissed the petition. “Your petition is dismissed without merit.” The Chief Justice said.
