President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and bigwigs of New Patriotic Party have celebrated Akufo-Addo’s affirmation by the Supreme Court as President duly elected during the December 2020 general elections conducted by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia, their wives and bigwigs of NPP were together watching the election petition judgement being read out by the Chief Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah.
The Supreme Court in a judgement read by the Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah has dismissed John Dramani Mahama’s (Petitioner) election petition brought before it challenging the 2020 Presidential Election outcome.
According to the Supreme Court, “The petitioner did not demonstrate in any way how the errors [committed by the EC] affected the declaration of the election. We have therefore no reason to order a re-run [of the polls]. We accordingly dismiss the petition”
Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah while reading the ruling of the court on Thursday, March 4, 2021 on behalf of the seven panel Judges said, they unanimously dismissed the petition. “Your petition is dismissed without merit.” The Chief Justice said.
