PHOTOS: List of 8 new Players named by Coach Otto Addo to face Nigeria for 2022 World Cup Quilifers

News coming in has confirmed that, the Interim Head Coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Coach Otto Addo has named eight (8) new players for the Black Stars squad to face the Supper Eagles of Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup Quilifers play-off.

According to our sources, Coach Otto Addo has officially submitted the list of the Black Stars to the Management Committee for the final selection of the Black Stars squad to face Nigeria in the double header of the 2022 World Cup Quilifers play-off.

Further sources have confirmed that, some Ghanaian footballers have been shortlisted to be selected to join the team ahead the of the crucial game.

The list of the eight (8) new players includes:

1. Dutch-born defender of Ghanaian descent Leeroy Owusu.

2. Hearts of Oak defender Dennis Korsah.

3. Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu has also been named.

4. Former Ghana U-23 midfielder Osman Bukari of French Ligue 1 side Nantes.

5. Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo.

6. AS Roma’s Felix Afena-Gyan.

7. Anderlecht star, Majeed Ashimeru has been rewarded for his recent good form.

8. The Coach has also named Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori to Jojo Wollacott and Hearts of Oak’s Richard Attah.

The Black Stars will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Cape Coast stadium on March 25, 2022 before travelling to Nigeria for the 2nd leg at the Abuja Sports stadium on Sunday, March 29, 2022.
