Pollster Ben Ephson has disclosed why the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is opposing Government’s Electronic Transfer Levy.
According to the managing editor for the Despatch Newspaper, Ben Ephson has indicated that, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is opposing to the e-levy all because of fears it will help the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to retain power.
The pollster and managing editor indicated that, the structure of the e-levy will give the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government the opportunity to show what they used the e-levy for within a two and half years time.

“The way the e-levy is structured, in two and half years time, the NPP are going to show Ghanaians what they used the e-levy for. The govt will get enough funds to carry out infrastructure projects that will make it look good in the eyes of Ghanaians” he said.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), after the introduction of the e-levy by the NPP government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo pending parliamentary approval, has indicated their stance of a 100 percent no to the e-levy.

The NDC describe the e-levy as obnoxious and a way of burdening Ghanaians. The NPP however, is bound on making sure the e-levy is passed in Parliament in other to help the government get enough fund to embark on developmental projects.
