The lead educator of Informed Teachers Network, Jerry Akporhor has admonished teachers to prepare their School Based Assessment (SBA) ahead of time to avoid unnecessary pressure on both teachers and students.

“School Based Assessment (SBA) is a system for collecting periodic information on pupils‘ learning status for the purpose of planning improvement programmes in the performance of pupils. The most appropriate way according to research is to do it on one month intervals” he indicated.
The SBA has been carefully grouped into three cluster: Class tests, group exercise and project. The assessments are referred to as Class Assessment Tests (CAT).
Jerry Akporhor in a post asking teachers not to wait until revision week before they start giving themselves and the learners pressure said;
This is the right and less stressful way to go about it.
School Based Assessment (SBA) is a system for collecting periodic information on pupils‘ learning status for the purpose of planning improvement programmes in the performance of pupils. The most appropriate way according to research is to do it on one month intervals.
For the purpose of filling the SBA, you need Four different carefully planned Classroom Assessment Tasks (CAT).
